Telxius bought 1,900 Vivo antennas for US$153 million

The company of Grupo Telefónica, Telxius, reached an agreement with Telefónica Brasil (Vivo), for the purchase of 1,909 towers, for an amount of US$153 million. With this acquisition, Telxius will double its portfolio to reach 3,850 own sites and consolidates itself as one of the main neutral infrastructure operators in the country.

The acquired portfolio has a fundamentally urban profile, 82% of the total and a wide presence in the main cities of the country, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, where 52% of the acquired towers are concentrated. The attractive location, together with its low current occupancy rate (tenancy ratio) of 1.10x, gives these new locations a high growth potential.
