The company, with more than 15 years in the broadcasting market, built an ecosystem around Amon, a video set-top-box for professional applications. “It has different input formats, a signal input and also an IP signal input, and outputs in both HDMI and composite video. It can be applied both to solutions that require analog modulation and to those that use digital outputs”, explained Guillermo Massucco, CEO of the firm, at NPlay Southern Cone 2021.
The objective is to feed the headers with content. It can also reproduce a playlist. Massucco explained that the ecosystem includes an orchestrator that runs in the cloud or on a server that is connected to the Internet, where the task carried out by these set-top-boxes can be coordinated, thinking that the set-top-boxes can be in cable operators' headends. The orchestrator allows the set-top-box to look for the tasks to be performed and automatically carry out them without having to enter the productive interface of the set-top-box.
It is possible to put a certain number of set-top-boxes and a certain number of channels I want to coordinate in different groups of set-top-boxes", added the CEO.
