MTC appoints Virgilio Tito Chura as the new Vice Minister of Communications

The Ministry of Transport and Communications has appointed engineer Virgilio Fredy Tito Chura as the new Deputy Minister of Communications, a position that had been vacant since last November. Tito Chura is an electronic engineer, specialist in artificial intelligence and computer networks with a Master's degree from the National University of Engineering with a mention in Telematics. He has a Master's degree in computer security from the Technological University of Peru, a second specialty in University Didactics and a Diploma in Scientific Research.

The Vice Ministry of Communications had become vacant after Carlos Sotelo was removed from the position due to an alleged conflict of interest, because he was the owner of the company Sothelo Innovations S.A.C., which had held a single 20-year concession with the MTC since May 2018.
