The first stage of this network, built in a year and baptized as “Next Fiber Network”, has an extension of 290 kilometers and cost US$12 million. The construction included the first border crossing that a Mexican telecommunications company makes under the Rio Grande.
The goal of the network is to create a new connectivity alternative for companies and governments from Laredo, Texas, to Mexico City, through 1,250 kilometers of fiber optic lines.
Neutral Networks is the marketing arm of fixed telecommunications services of the Southern Cross Group and its sister company Even Telecom is the infrastructure construction part.
