Globalstar presents its Industrial IoT offer “Realm”

Javier Pinilla Gómez, the company's Commercial Director for Latin America, anticipated the launch of "Realm" as first news, with the aim of reaching all verticals.

Realm appliances provide storage and processing power to run apps through the Enablement Suite, and the cloud-based platform simplifies setup, provisioning, and subscription management. "Realm's differentiator is that the transmission of information is the same from the origin, without encryption or different information languages," explained Pinilla.

Globalstar exceeds 780,000 subscribers worldwide, served from its fleet in low orbit. As an experienced player in LEO, the company had to do its own development of ground bases, gateways and antennas, among others. "We work in low orbit, we believe in LEO and we know the mechanics and the entire value chain," said the executive.
