Mercedes La Gioiosa, Deputy Minister of Defense of Argentina, highlighted the importance of national companies in the provision of goods and services, especially in the knowledge area. She noted that, in general terms, the defense sector has around 5,000 national suppliers, of which 3,500 are stable. Among them, approximately 1,000 are linked to industrial and knowledge services.
La Gioiosa pointed out that there are significant challenges to overcome for the sustainability of these capabilities, including the shortage of human resources, which is a global problem.
