GSMA expects 95,000 attendees at MWC Barcelona 2024

GSMA expects to host around 95,000 participants at the 18th edition of the Mobile World Congress, held in Barcelona from February 26 to 29.

Under the theme Future First, attendance is projected to surpass the 88,500 attendees from 2023, with over half coming from sectors adjacent to the mobile industry.

The congress program will be organized into six subthemes reflecting the latest trends and technologies: 5G and Beyond; Connecting Everything; Humanising AI; Manufacturing DX; Game Changers; and Our Digital DNA.

Mats Granryd, GSMA Director General, and Lara Dewar, Marketing Director, emphasized that unlike previous editions, "MWC is no longer Mobile First or Digital First; we are Future First because the event brings together industries, technologies, and communities to realize the potential of the future for the sustainability of our society and our planet".
