Highline and Datora could gain access to spectrum surrendered by Winity

The Board of Directors of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) approved Winity's resignation from the 700 MHz band obtained in the 2021 auction and considered the possibility of granting that spectrum to one of the remaining bidders in that tender, namely Highline and Datora.

If this alternative is not feasible, a new auction would be conducted for its allocation, for which consultation will be made with the Union Court of Auditors (TCU).

If it is determined to offer the spectrum to the other bidders (Highline and Datora), the offer that these companies presented at the time they participated in the auction would be accepted.

Furthermore, the idea of releasing the 700 MHz band for secondary use was mentioned. Initially, it would be for small providers with a mobile telephony operating license. The advantage for 120 days would be given to companies that purchased 3.5 GHz bands in the 2021 auction but do not have spectrum in the 700 MHz band: Brisanet, Unifique, iez! telecommunications, and Liga. Major telecommunications companies could make their choices in a later stage.
