In September 2023, some 7.7 million mobile lines recorded

With 7,756,525 mobile lines reported as of September 2023, the country shows a mobile telephone density of 79.90, which means that 80 out of every 100 Hondurans have a mobile line, according to a recent report from the National Telecommunications Commission.

The report also reveals that 88.67% of cell phone users in Honduras prefer the prepaid modality, while the remaining 11.33% opt for postpaid plans, adding a total of 878,714 phones in this category. In addition, it is highlighted that 6,756,171 Hondurans are mobile Internet clients, with a subscriber density of 69.59. Of them, 5,250,842 users enjoy broadband connectivity through 3G or 4G technologies, with a density of 54 per 100 people.
