Entel has two ongoing projects in the mobile phone sector. The first one is the Mobile Access Expansion 2023 (MAE 2023), with a self-investment of US$ 5.3 million in progress. This project aims to install 15 new base radio stations, five of them in Sucre, achieving an 85% mobile phone coverage throughout the department.
On the other hand, the IRB project "Installation of Base Radio Communications" in its phases III and IV, financed by the National Government through the National Program of Telecommunications for Social Inclusion (PRONTIS), contemplates the installation of 38 new base radio stations in Chuquisaca, with an investment of US$ 13.3 million.
"This will benefit municipalities with populations ranging from 50 to 2,000 inhabitants. Additionally, Phase V of this project has been signed, which will allow the installation of 51 new base radio stations starting from the 2025 management, with a scheduled investment of over US$ 7.3 million," specified the company.
