Tele education: Hispasat supports 11 schools in four Latin American countries

Luisa Fernandez Peña, Product Manager, specified this during Satellite Map Day 2024, the event organized by Convergencialatina. The satellite-based Tele-education solution aims to bridge the digital gap in communities, simplify operations, streamline deployment times, and optimize the State's economic resources.

In Panama, since March 2022, a Chorcha establishment has been part of the initiative with two digital classrooms. There are 424 students and 2,300 inhabitants benefiting from it.

For the Ecuadorian market, since January 2022, Hispasat has connected five schools in Andrés de Mamallacta, Rómulo Delgado, 16 de Agosto, San Luis, and Lorenzo Cerda, reaching 415 students and 9,046 inhabitants.

In the Dominican Republic, starting from December 2023, three institutions are served: Jorge Méndez, Jacinto de la Concha, and Los Montones, benefiting 275 students.

Lastly, in Colombia, two schools have been connected since August 2023, in Riosucio and Puerto Colombia.
