Government studies three international exits for Norte Conectado program

Representatives of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) indicated that the government is studying three international exits for the optical network project in the Amazon region known as Norte Conectado.

In this regard, they explained that in the case of international departures, one of them includes the extension of the Norte Conectado to the city of Leticia, Colombia, which has already been formalized. The connection will be with Infovía 02 of Norte Conectado, which will reach the city of Tabatinga, on the triple border with Colombia and Peru.

Another project is the interconnection of the Norte Conectado with the EllaLink submarine cable, which connects Europe and Africa with Brazil, in Praia do Futuro, in Fortaleza.

The third possibility under study includes an exit through Guyana, starting from Infovía 04, which will be built to reach the city of Boa Vista, state of Roraima.
