Guido Gómez Mazara assumes presidency of Indotel's Board of Directors

Guido Gómez Mazara was sworn in as Chairman of the Board of the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel) in a ceremony led by the Minister of Economy, Planning, and Development, Pável Isa Contreras. The head of the institution was appointed by President Luis Abinader through decree 455-24. On his first day in office, he met with the outgoing Chairman, Nelson Arroyo, who presented him with a report on the institution's key issues.

The outgoing Chairman, Nelson Arroyo, highlighted that over the past four years, US$68,202,811 were contributed to the national Treasury's single account through Indotel. He noted that in 2020, they found financial certificates worth US$2,493,184. To date, our administration leaves a balance of US$24,045,004.

He also mentioned that he took over an institution with a cash balance of US$3,329,823. Today, that account holds US$13,336,025. "We are leaving behind a fully stabilized institution, ready to continue executing the plans of the new administration," he concluded.
