Nokia will be Claro's supplier for its 5G infrastructure

Claro has hired Nokia to deploy 5G infrastructure in Argentina. The agreement will cover the first phase of 5G network deployment in Argentina's largest cities.

In a statement, Nokia said it will be the sole provider of 5G networks and services from its AirScale product line, which includes base stations, baseband units and massive MIMO radios.

The provider detailed that it will employ its new active-passive antenna (IPAA) across Claro's footprint. IPAA is a compact multi-band solution that eliminates the need to find additional space to deploy 5G antennas.
