Viasat Brazil's General Manager, Leandro Gaunszer, spoke about the upcoming launch of the ViaSat-3 F2, scheduled for the first half of 2025. The satellite will serve the Americas instead of Asia.
It is a higher-capacity model satellite, part of the same family as the ViaSat-3 F1 (which experienced an anomaly and was ultimately not used for the Brazilian market).
Under these conditions, the ViaSat-3 F2 could be useful for serving the northern part of the country, particularly the Amazon region.
"One of the critical points is the proper management of public resources, in the sense that, as demand from schools increases, the industry also has the capacity to meet that demand for schools," Gaunszer commented.
