Google Cloud starts operations of its first cloud region in the country

Google Cloud started its first cloud region in Mexico, in the state of Querétaro. The new region offers data storage and processing services to local companies and those in surrounding areas.

According to the company, the infrastructure is designed to reduce latency, keep data within the national territory and comply with local regulations, such as those established by the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) for financial institutions operating in the national territory.
