The unified mobile access network of Tigo and Movistar was officially switched on in the cities of Ibagué (Tolima) and Madrid (Cundinamarca) this Friday, as announced by both companies. This new coverage, announced in 2024, seeks, in addition to increasing coverage, to improve the "connection experience" for more than 35 million mobile users spread across more than 900 municipalities in the country.
Likewise, both telecommunications companies reported that the unified network will be progressively deployed in the rest of the country throughout the current year.
