Telefonía por Cable, a subsidiary of Megacable, and Axtel sold their shares in Altán Redes, which manages the wholesale Red Compartida network and has recently been nationalized with the purchase of up to 49% of its shares by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).

Megacable held 4.21% of Altán's equity, while Axtel owned 2.10% of the public-private company's shares.
