Xiaomi, for its part, globally launched its Xiaomi 15 line, which had been introduced in China in October 2024. Both the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra operate with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform. With these new devices, Xiaomi also introduced HyperAI outside of China.
Human Mobile Devices (HMD) launched the Fusion X1, produced in collaboration with its partner Xplora. The smartphone is focused on child safety. Additionally, it presented a pair of special edition phones branded with FC Barcelona: the HMD Barca 3210 and the HMD Barca Fusion.
As for Qualcomm, two modems were presented in Barcelona. The X85 5G-RF allows for a downlink bandwidth of up to 400 MHz in sub-6 GHz frequencies. It can run the growing number of AI algorithms dedicated to mobile technology. The downlink data speed of up to 12.5 Gb/s enables performance similar to fiber. On the other hand, the X82 5G Modem-RF is optimized for mobile broadband applications. It is capable of reaching multi-gigabit upload and download speeds. Both are expected to be available in the second half of the year.
