Satellite 2025

Rivada Space Networks prepares to launch satellites into space in 2026.

The Outernet fleet will operate in LEO and will be an interconnected network of satellites designed for secure business connectivity. “There is a lot of new demand in the environment. The recent wave of attacks and the changing global environment are driving this demand,” commented Declan Ganley, the firm's founder in 2022.

The executive described Outernet as the world's first completely autonomous global communications network. “It means we don't need to interfere with anyone else's network. It's a completely gatewayless architecture, which allows us to maintain sovereignty, residency, and data security. It's the best way to avoid being hacked,” he emphasized.

The executive was part of a panel of startups and partnerships held as part of Satellite 2025. There, Neo Space Group, the firm founded in 2024 by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, admitted it is evaluating options for owning and operating satellites. Its CEO, Martijn Blanken, stated that they are working “to build a global market.”
