ATT to assign 3.5 GHz spectrum to Entel for 5G deployment

The Telecommunications and Transport Regulation and Oversight Authority (ATT) issued a resolution allocating licenses in the 3,300 to 3,600 MHz band to Entel for the development of its 5G network. The state-owned company has until March 31 to apply for the licenses and must meet a series of conditions, including expanding connectivity in education, healthcare and the lithium industry.

The current law allows for direct allocation to state entities, while private operators must participate in a public auction. The ATT has not yet provided details on when that process will take place.
