Viasat joined the European Space Agency's Moonlight project, along with Telespazio, the program leader, which aims to develop a navigation and communications system in lunar orbit.
The Moonlight communications system will act as a data highway on and around the Moon, and between the Earth and the Moon. Access to this data highway will simplify and streamline communications between themselves and with Earth.
