United Launch Alliance (ULA) launched the first large-scale mission of Amazon's LEO Kuiper Project constellation. A ULA Atlas V 551 rocket took off from Cape Canaveral Space Station in Florida, carrying 27 satellites for the Kuiper-1 mission. The first phase aims to deploy around 1,600 satellites by July 2026.
Amazon stated that it has already deployed ground links in Australia and Germany, among other locations, which are connected to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
