On the first day of M360 Latam, Altán Redes, América Móvil, AT&T Mexico, and Telefónica Mexico announced the local launch of GSMA Open Gateway, the GSMA-led initiative that provides developers with access to mobile networks through universal APIs, enabling the creation of new digital services with enhanced user experiences.
Lara Dewar, GSMA’s Global Head of Marketing, stated during the opening that the event “is the space where leadership, technology, and vision converge to build the digital future of Latin America.”
Dewar noted that “this event acts as a catalyst for real change and economic growth. It’s a pivotal moment for the region, and I’m proud to see the entire community coming together to inspire and accelerate progress.”
In addition, GSMA presented its flagship annual report, The Mobile Economy Latin America 2025, which projects that mobile technologies and services will contribute US$ 680 billion to the region’s GDP by 2030, driven primarily by increased 5G adoption and business digitalization.
Running in parallel is the Latin American Congress on Digital Transformation (CLTD), organized by ASIET, the GSMA, and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The forum focuses on the public policy side of connectivity, highlighting the government decisions and actions needed to drive the region’s digital evolution.
