SEMI: Semiconductor equipment market revenue grew 21%

The global association SEMI, which represents chip manufacturers, reported that worldwide semiconductor equipment billings rose by 21% year-over-year, reaching US$32.05 billion in the first quarter of 2025.

The semiconductor equipment market includes machinery used in the production of chips, transistors, and other electronic components.

“The global semiconductor equipment market began 2025 with a strong quarter, reflecting forward-looking investments in critical chip manufacturing capacity across all regions,” said Ajit Manocha, SEMI president and CEO.
