KIO starts construction of new data center in Mexico City

KIO, a Mexican data center company, began construction of MEX8, its new facility in Mexico City. The investment is estimated at US$70 million. It will have a capacity of 4 MW with a renewable energy supply close to 80%.

With MEX8, KIO will serve demand from different levels of government, as well as fintech, logistics and e-commerce.

Currently, KIO operates 12 data centers in Mexico: six in the Mexico City area, two in Querétaro, two in Monterrey, and one in Hermosillo and Mérida.
