As of the fourth quarter of 2025, mobile data traffic generated from mobile phones reached 2.28 million terabytes, with 33.04 million mobile phones accessing mobile internet and a service penetration rate of 95.8% per inhabitant.
Of total mobile data traffic, 82.92% came from contract-based mobile lines, while prepaid mobile data usage accounted for 17.08%.
Claro held the largest share in the number of mobile phones accessing mobile internet, with 35.29%, up 0.14% year over year. It was followed by Entel (22.37% and +0.46% YoY) and Bitel (22.33% and +2.62% YoY). Movistar reached a 19.81% share (-3.18% YoY). Other companies accounted for 0.21% of the market.
Throughout 2025, Claro, Movistar, and Entel saw their shares of mobile internet data traffic decline by 2.22, 0.79, and 0.12 percentage points, respectively. Meanwhile, Bitel’s share increased by 3.13 percentage points.
Despite this, Claro continued to lead the market in 2025 in terms of mobile internet data traffic generated from mobile phones, with 34.17%, followed by Bitel with 24.36%, Entel with 22.99%, Movistar with 18.46%, and other companies with 0.02%.
