During a recognition ceremony for former Antel officials, it was confirmed that planned investments will total US$150 million this year and US$180 million next year, with total estimated investments of US$750 million for the period. These investments are focused on a new data center, strengthening artificial intelligence capabilities, expanding technology infrastructure nationwide and creating new digital services, so that Antel continues to be the “engine of the country’s economy and production.”
Among the planned investments is the purchase, before the end of the year, of equipment to run artificial intelligence workloads at the Pando Data Center, serving Antel, companies and the government, with an investment expected to exceed US$10 million.
Meanwhile, Antel President Alejandro Paz stressed that, although the company faces competition “on all fronts,” it remains solid, efficient and profitable, serving as the executing arm of the country’s public policy and ensuring that telecommunications services reach the entire territory.
