A survey by the Media and Entertainment Observatory of the Center for Social Research at UADE found that four of the five most-used streaming services are video platforms, while one is a music service. Streaming services account for 70% of audiovisual consumption, while 63% of users use paid applications to listen to music.
In addition, the average user switches between five devices and seven networks. WhatsApp is the most popular, followed by Instagram, TikTok and X. Meanwhile, 54% of respondents get more of their news through these platforms than through traditional media.
The average user spends nearly 16 hours a day consuming content across screens, social networks and streaming services. This represents a decline from the previous two measurements conducted in 2024 and 2025.
As for artificial intelligence, it is used to edit texts (28%), study (23%) and generate multimedia content (19%).
