Veeam revenue in Latin America grew around 38% in first half of 2026

This was stated to Convergencia by Mauricio González, the company’s vice president for the region. Veeam released its “Data and AI Trust Gap” report, which shows that 88% of organizations are already using AI agents or running pilot programs, but only 7% consider themselves truly prepared for them.

Security, AI and data are converging,” said Mauricio González, Veeam’s vice president for Latin America. In fact, as discussed during the VeeamON Tour Buenos Aires event, organizations face not only the challenge of adopting AI but also the challenge of building trust in data and AI: as AI agents move from pilot programs into production environments and operate autonomously at high speed, companies need to understand what data AI uses, how it is accessed, what risks exist and how to recover clean, reliable information in the event of an incident.

The company, whose core business has traditionally been backup and data protection, has undergone its own transformation following its acquisition of Securiti AI, a company focused on data security, governance and AI trust, for US$1.725 billion, completed in December 2025. The deal has reinforced its transition from a backup company to a data and infrastructure company for the agentic era.

“We are currently integrating Securiti AI. In October, we will launch the first product resulting from the acquisition, for Office 365,” González told Convergencia. It will be called “Veeam Intelligent RevOps” and will be a plug-in that provides data identification and classification capabilities. This will give the company visibility into employees’ personal information stored by the company, the actions of AI agents, as well as other workloads that will be added gradually.

Gap. Veeam released its “Data and AI Trust Gap” report, which highlights a critical gap between the pace of AI adoption and companies’ ability to govern, protect and recover the data that supports it. The study found that 88% of organizations are already using or piloting AI agents, but only 7% consider themselves truly prepared for them. Meanwhile, 95% said data-related challenges have already slowed their progress in AI.
