A study by real estate consultancy GPS Property shows the locations of upcoming data centers in areas of the Santiago Metropolitan Region, which are expected to attract US$2.37 billion in investment through 2031. The region currently has 39 data centers, totaling 217,366 square meters.
According to GPS Property, the project pipeline to be developed over the next five years by major technology companies Amazon, Google and Microsoft, as well as other industry players, will be concentrated in Quilicura, Huechuraba, Lampa, Padre Hurtado, Cerrillos and Pudahuel.
