Conatel authorizes Starlink to operate

The National Telecommunications Commission (Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones, Conatel) said that, “as part of the Venezuelan government’s policies promoted by President Delcy Rodríguez to democratize access to technology and guarantee the right to communication, General Authorization HGTS-00639 and seven (7) General Concessions in the Ku band were approved for the commercial company SPACEX VZ, S.C.A.”

The measure legally authorizes Starlink to provide satellite Internet services throughout Venezuela, allowing the company to operate formally in the country under local registration and regulatory oversight.
