The superintendent of Communication Services of the National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL), Ara Minassian, pointed out that the possibility of devoting VHF channel 13 for the digital mobile TV in under consideration. On this regard, the official clarified that VHF channels 5 and 6 may probably be destined to sound radiobroadcasting  as they are close to the band used by MF radios. Minassian reminded that as from 2013 there will be no consignation of analogue TV channels since the switch-off of that television technology all over the country is foreseen for 2016.
