In a meeting at MWC with representatives of regulators from the United States, France and Ecuador and other industry representatives, the Brazilian Communications Minister, Ricardo Berzoini, proposed to establish international conventions on specific topics of the Internet to ease the burden of national authorities. He proposed to delegate the issues related to employment to the International Labor Organization (ILO); with sales, to the World Trade Organization (WTO); Data protection to the Security Council of the United Nations (UN); and give greater powers to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
