The first smart cities project in Honduras will be developed in Comayagûela

During the closing day of the 7th Green Standards Week (GSW), Héctor Lizárraga, Specialist Engineer at the Telecommunications Commission of Central America (Comtelca, for its Spanish acronym), talked about the characteristics of Comayagüela Digital, the first digital city project to be held in Comayagüela , Which together with Tegucigalpa, constitute the Capital District of Honduras. Lizárraga explained that the initiative is promoted by the Honduran National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) in agreement with the municipality. Comayagüela Digitaln will have a technology center, e-government platform, green technologies, software, incubators, etc. For its development, onions signed with Amazon, Intel and Facebook, in addition to an agreement with the national government to train call center technicians.
