TCU questions could delay spectrum 5G tender

The construction of an exclusive network for the State and the subwater network of the Amazonia Program lack the minimum documentation necessary for their evaluation by the control body.

While the federal government remains confident that at the end of July it will be able to launch the spectrum tender for 5G and the Tribunal de Cuentas de la Unión (TCU) (Audit Court) continues with its analysis within the established deadlines, some questions are beginning to arise about certain aspects of the spectrum, especially in relation to the obligations imposed by the Government on the awardees, which is the financing of an exclusive network for the State and that of the sub-river network of the Programa Amazonia Integrada y Sustentable (PAIS) (Integrated and Sustainable Amazon Program), for an approximate total amount of US$464.6 million for both, according to the most optimistic estimates.
