On November 11, Guillermo Lasso threw to the trash -with a strong symbolism in his act- the Communication Law sanctioned in the times of Rafael Correa, known as gag law (ley mordaza). In this way, and in a national chain, the president announced the entry into force of the new version of the law, which he described as a "victory that belongs to all democratic Ecuador."
