With the Arimao, traffic has grown by 17%.

In early December 2022, the official ceremony took place at the Tricontinental Port of Cienfuegos to mark the beginning of the technical work for the deployment of the Arimao submarine fiber optic cable. Starting from Cienfuegos, the cable was intended to reach the Caribbean island of Martinique, which belongs to France.
