After ten years have elapsed since establishment of preponderance in telecommunications, the results are not as precise as the politicians and regulators who devised the scheme would have liked. According to Ernesto Piedras, director of the consulting firm The Ciu, the result is that América Móvil reduced its market share by 10 percentage points.
