Cosmas Zavazava: More resilient approaches needed in an increasingly volatile digital world

The Director of Telecommunication Development of the ITU spoke with Convergencia about the objectives in Latin America of the Acceleration Centers Network and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Digital Development Alliance.

Since Cosmas Zavazava took office in 2023 as the Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), he has been promoting the creation of ITU Acceleration Centers (IAC), one of the vehicles of the Alliance for Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Digital Development (AIEDD) to foster critical local facilitators to lead the changing digital environment. The other vehicles of the Alliance are the Digital Transformation Laboratory, based in Geneva, and the Digital Innovation Council, composed of eminent personalities from the sector, including some from Latin America.
