Fair Share: Much ado about nothing and no port in sight

The debate has made progress on possible models for implementing the contribution of traffic generators to operators, but it is much further behind in regulatory matters, as shown by the case of Brazil, where Anatel called for two public consultations without reaching a conclusion regarding the need to intervene.

There is no ICT sector event - with the presence of operators, of course - that ignores the issue of fair contribution or Fair Share. In times of scarce margins, the possibility of getting a slice of the Big Tech is a regulatory ocean away, but the debate continues, and is paraphrased in industry meetings.
