The state-owned Entel surpassed its 2017 record (US$680 million) and positioned itself as the leader in the Bolivian telecommunications sector. Roy Méndez, CEO of Entel, stated that this achievement is due to a comprehensive strategy based on expansion, technological modernization, and reinvestment.
In 2024, Entel expanded its FTTH (Fiber to the Home) service, reaching an additional 394 locations and 219 municipal capitals. By 2025, the government aims to achieve 100% coverage in municipal capitals.
