Copelec case: artificial intelligence as a tool in electricity sector

It operates in the Chilean region of Ñuble and has 93,000 electricity customers. Its operation focuses on two aspects: data collection using the ETL model and integration of APIs, either their own or third-party's, as needed. The case was analyzed at the Clertic meeting in Panama last February.

Latin American electric cooperatives are exploring AI to leverage synergies between energy and technology, as evidenced at the Clertic 2025 conference, organized in February in Panama by the Latin American and Caribbean Confederation of Energy, Rural Telecommunications, and Information and Communication Technologies (Clertic, for its Spanish acronym).
