Foreign direct investment in digital tech jumped 36% in 2024

Foreign direct investment (FDI) flowing into Latin America and the Caribbean in 2024 and directed toward sectors related to digital technologies totaled US$20.253 billion, representing a 36% increase compared to 2023, according to a newly published report by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
