América Móvil returned to capital market

Carlos Slim holding company issued debt for US$2.250 billion (US$1 billion in 10-year bonds with 3.625% and US$1.250 billion in 30-year securities with a yield of 4.375%). América Móvil returned to the debt market in dollars after a seven-year interruption period, to take advantage of extremely favorable terms, according to the company's Finance Director, Carlos García Moreno.

"We saw a very receptive market; we had a demand of more than US$7.500 billion", assured García Moreno. The resources of this issue will be used mainly to refinance other debts, and the next step could be a return to the euro market to refinance part of that debt.
