The streaming platform added fewer subscribers than expected for the end of June 2019, after raising prices in some of its main markets. The company also reported the loss of 130,000 subscribers in the United States. In total, Netflix reached 151.6 million customers worldwide.
The firm's revenues totaled US$4.9 billion, compared to the US$3.9 billion reported in the same period of the previous year. The net profit was reduced to US$270 million, compared to US$384 million in the second quarter of 2018.
