Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei, threatened to lose its access to Android due to US sanctions, introduced HarmonyOS on Friday, a new operating system that will be included in its upcoming phones. It did so after the US government prohibited companies in that country from providing technology to their Chinese peers, which affects the use of Android, Google's operating system, on Huawei devices. "If we can't use it anymore, we can deliver all our applications to HarmonyOS", said Richard Yu, executive director of Huawei's consumer division.
