In his speech during Andicom 2019, Agostinho Almeida stressed: "The Fourth Industrial Revolution is no longer an option, but a call to take action". He called public and private companies to act and implement the changes that this industrial revolution requires. He considered that the use of advanced technologies is still incipient in Colombia, because the process of digital transformation must be first gone through.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Digital Economy of the MinTIC, Jehudi Castro Sierra, highlighted the government's regulations and public policy actions, such as the construction of the Conpes Digital Transformation document that seeks to increase the country's competitiveness and define AI policy.
