The company was affected by the depreciation of the Chilean peso against the dollar. In the same period of 2018, it had lost US$7,165,499. As of September 30, the company reported a base of 7,935,517 mobile customers in Peru, which represents a 7% growth compared to the same date of 2018, and adds 8.1 million customers also incorporating services to the home.
On the contrary, during the period there was a decrease in mobile phone revenues in Chile of 5%, mainly affected by the decrease in access charges rates by 80% since January this year and lower equipment sales. In Chile, the mobile customer base totaled 9.2 million as of September, due to a 9% increase in the subscription customer segment. Meanwhile, the 4G customer base grew 14% in the period.
