Anatel once again postpones the tender proposal for 5G

The Board of Directors of the Anatel (National Telecommunications Agency) decided to postpone a decision on the proposals for the tender model that will be used to grant spectrum for 5G, based on the request made by the rapporteur of the subject, the advisor Vicente Aquino, who requested more time to formulate his proposal.

Thus, the next meeting of the Board of Directors is scheduled for mid-January and, if the approved model must be submitted for public consultation i is taken into account and then the final proposal and its approval by the TCU (Court of Accounts of the Union), it is estimated that the contest could be held in early 2021.
